Action-packed day from the get-go! I've spent years fishing here and can say the waters off Destin, FL are packed with big, tasty fish that put up a great fight. Erin and their crew joined me for a 5 Hour Trip (AM) with Windwalker II Charters, one of the best experiences in the area.

The weather was partly cloudy throughout the day with strong storms possible, but that didn't stop us from making the most of our time on the water. We got an early start at 6:00 am, ready to target some of the local favorites.

With our gear rigged and ready, we started the day with some live bait fishing, quickly hooking into a nice 17-inch King Mackerel. The Spanish Mackerel and Little Tunny were also cooperative, with the crew reeling in 14-inch and 13-inch specimens respectively. But the real highlight was the 14-inch Red Snapper we managed to pull up from the bottom. These fish are incredibly well-suited for the waters around Destin and put up an amazing fight.
