Destin Fishing Charters Frequently Asked Questions How much do offshore fishing charters cost in Destin? Our destin fishing charters prices vary based on the duration of your trip, the distance traveled offshore, and the specific species being targeted. We offer clear, upfront pricing with no hidden surprises. Rates include your licensed captain, an experienced mate, bait, tackle, ice, and all necessary state fishing licenses. For a complete breakdown of current pricing, check our fishing charter rates chart above or contact us directly to lock in your seasonal date. What is included in a Destin offshore fishing charter?Every booking on our destin offshore fishing charter includes premium rod and reel setups, fresh or live bait, ice for your catch, and complete licensing for everyone on board. You do not need to purchase a separate Florida fishing license. Your crew will also clean, fillet, and bag your fish at the docks once the boat arrives back at the Destin Harbor. Are your offshore fishing trips family friendly?Yes, our destin family fishing trips are fully customized to match the comfort level of your group. For families traveling with younger children, we highly recommend our half day fishing trips. These shorter durations keep travel time to a minimum while keeping lines wet and rods bent over highly active nearshore reefs, making it an engaging and comfortable introduction to Gulf fishing. What should I bring on a deep sea fishing trip? When preparing for deep sea fishing destin, we recommend packing polarized sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and any snacks or drinks you want for the day in a small cooler. We provide the ice and the heavy cooler space on board the vessel. We also suggest taking motion sickness medication the night before your trip if you are prone to seasickness on offshore waters. Can I keep the fish I catch on the charter?Yes! Any legal fish caught within state and federal bag limits, size restrictions, and open seasons belong to you. Our crew stays continuously updated on the latest regulations—frequently noted in our destin fishing report today—to ensure full compliance. At the end of your destin offshore fishing charters run, our mate will fillet and package your legal keepers so they are ready for the grill or local "cook your catch" restaurants. What is the best month for offshore fishing in Destin? While our local waters offer great action year-round, the absolute peak window for destin offshore fishing runs from late spring through October. June and July are premier months for targeting major reef species, while the late summer and fall tracking brings incredible blue-water pelagic action. For real-time updates on what is currently biting, check our seasonal destin florida fishing forecast or look at our latest dock captures. How many passengers can join a Windwalker II charter trip? Our vessel is comfortably laid out to accommodate private groups looking for a premium experience. Whether you are arranging a corporate outing or planning a memorable day out for Destin family fishing trips, our layout provides plenty of deck space for everyone to fish comfortably at the same time. Contact us directly with your specific group size so we can customize your private destin fishing charter itinerary. What is your weather cancellation and rescheduling policy? The safety of our guests is our absolute top priority. Captain Bernie closely monitors the marine forecast daily. If a trip must be canceled due to unsafe sea conditions or rough weather, we will work with you to reschedule your outing or provide a full refund of your deposit. We aim to keep your booking entirely risk-free, ensuring you get the exact high-quality day on the water that you are paying for when reviewing our Destin charter boat cost options.
